Today I will attend the church group of ladies making shawls and lap robes for the ill and needy.I missed two meetings with the trip to Wild Acres in the mountains and then the cold.My dd said she would pick me up and take me home whenever I wanted, but also there are some steps to get in etc. But it really wouldn't bother me to stay home; I am accustomed to home and it is certainly much more comfortable, and I really wouldn't get to visit much, so............decide later. My dd would take me there and younger son would bring me back. I was given some home-grown pears and now that they are ripe, peeled and slightly cooked to soften them (I used canned pears before), I need to find a recipe I have for a pear desert that I used to enjoy.
You can see a photo of Teak and Bonnie on my home page. I need to put a photo of Cali on my home page, but I don't know how to do that, I'll have to wait for my daughter to do it for me.Frances, you sound like quite the cook, your meals make my mouth water. My husband and I visited there many years ago and just loved it. Shirley Hello all, Yes, the 'bad penny' is finally showing up. I just tried to read all the messages since then but cannot comment as just too many.Leona, I have always had dogs every since I can remember and when my children where small, we also had cats. I have been busy again with trying to push myself to do a worthwhile job here in the condo each day and have been occupied with all of them and not on the computer. Busy all day sorting and bagging my order for delivery in the morning. When my grandparents first came to America from Italy they lived in Iron Mountain and later moved to Colorado. Shirley- After I lost my husband my daughter and granddaughter thought I should have a dog and my granddaughter found a rescue dog. I have told them I need suggestions, or they can just live with what they get!!Read all the posts but not going to try and reply as want to go watch the CMA Awards. My prayers will be along for Mickey, Helen and Mary Lou and all the others on here. I have solved the problem of back surgery (sort of). My dd will be going to work in December through March, and I know i would definitely need her, so problem solved, for now. My dd and dh will be going to his dd's house, and I am invited.....
I said I bought them scarfs with Santa on them and remembered my granddaughter's boyfriend's dog, Dexter so I bought him one today and will mail it to her. The first time we were there we could only use tourist dollars and the second time we used US dollars. I don't think he ever used anything I bought him, so I decided to just get these items and give him the receipt along with them and he can just return them.
